Phillo Beukes qualified from the University of the Free State in 1996 and immediately started working as head physiotherapist at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Bloemfontein. He left South Africa for the United Kingdom, where he worked at various physiotherapy practices and hospitals, attended many courses, completed two post-graduate diplomas in Orthopaedic Medicine and specialised in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy.
Upon his return to South Africa in 2001, he started practising in Knysna, whilst completing his M.Phil (Sports Physiotherapy) degree through the University of Cape Town.
Phillo is a registered physiotherapist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, a member of the SA Society of Physiotherapy, Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (UK), South African Sport Medicine Association and the Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy Group. His special interests include anything orthopaedic and sports injury treatment and rehabilitation.
